Alex Vrs Eleanor

Rua wagged her tail adorably, so adorable, even, that Eleanor couldn't deal so much damage to such a cute Pokémon. This was the same effect that it had on all wild Pokémon as well.

"Tangy, use Constrict again!"

Then she continued, in a slight whisper:

"But don't make it hurt too much"

Once again, the vines were shot towards Rua, and clasped her, then squeezed, but not very tightly.

Rua used Tail Whip!
Tangy's DEF went down 2!
Tangy used Constrict!

Ingrain provided 2 health to Tangy!

Alex grinned"Ok Rua lets use Ember again and aim for the vines again"

Again, Rua let flames fly for Tangy, and burn at the vines. The difference this time being: They snap.

Tangy fell back from the shock,, and the pain, The healing vines had been burnt right through.

"Tangy, Use Absorb!"

A few orbs of light seemed to be sucked out of Rua, who instantly looked weaker. Then, the orbs went for Tangy, and made him look healthier.

Rua used Ember!
Tangy took 7 damage!
Tangy used Absorb!
Rua took 2 damage!
Absorb provided 2 health to Tangy!

Alex was worried now, Rua didn't have much time left but if they got its defense down enough maybe they had a chance"Ok Rua lets use Tail Whip"

Again, Rua looked adorable. Wagging her tail cutely. Surely nothing that cute could possibly do any harm? Or at least, that was what Tangy was thinking, as she let her guard down.

"Tangy, use your Constrict again."

Eleanor's voice filled the Gym as vines flew and tightened around Rua. Rua cried in pain, as her health went down further.

Tangy's DEF decreased by 2!
Tangy used Constrict!
Rua took 2 damage!

"Ok Rua we have to make this count, use Ember" Alex said hoping it would be enough to seriously damage Tangy

Rua threw fire from it's mouth, which rapidly burnt Tangy. Tangy fell back in pain and looked incredibly weak.

"Constrict, Tangy. Now! You can do it!"

Vines flew from Tangy and tightened around Rua. It looked like it was over, when, before the vines could tighten enough to knock Rua out, they grew red. Brilliant! They had been burnt. Tangy wobbled in place, then collapsed.

"Tangy, come back, quickly."

Eleanor held out Tangy's Poké Ball, which quickly absorbed Tangy.

"You won, so I have to give you this. Well done."

Eleanor held out a small badge. The Rainbow Badge!

"You can pin that in your signature, and it will be automatically updated in to your records. Well done."

Alexs eyes widened, she'd done it. She'd actually beaten her first gym leader. She took the badge from Eleanor and kneeled down. She stroked Rua"You little gem"She purred. She nodded to the gym leader and walked out
