Kali sounded like she was softly growling, and her throat began to grow a soft, darkened red. As soon as Kali opened her mouth, flames blasted through the air, and struck into Celebi. It uttered a loud cry, and dropped to the ground, it look injured, as it was a grass type, but it was still able to fly again. Quickly, it flew up into the air. It's eyes began to glow, and it let out a loud cry, which seemed dizzying.

Kali used Ember!
Celebi took 4 damage!
Celebi used Confusion!
Kali took 4 damage!
Kali became confused.

Alex bit her lip, she wasn't going to risk it. She returned Kali to his pokeball then sent out Rua

Kali was absorbed into the ball, and was quickly replaced by Rua, who flew out of the ball. Celebi quickly stopped moving, and began glowing. Celebi grew a light green, closer to white, and looked completely healed. Celebi then let the glow fade, and there were no burns on it at all.

Kali Returned!
Rua was sent onto the battlefield!
Celebi used Recover!
Celebi gained 4 health!

Alex frowned, that was going to be a problem"Ok Rua just like Kali, use Ember" If she could just keep hitting it with fire type move after fire type move she might have a chance of beating the Celebi

Flames blasted from the mouth of Rua and surrounded Celebi. The heat burnt rapidly, even giving Celebi a burn. This could be useful. Suddenly, Celebi began glowing once more, as it's body quickly removed all of the injuries, but the burn from Ember did not disappear. Recover had not worked very well against status injuries.

Alex smiled, this should be a cinch"Alright Rua use quick attack"

Rua quickly darted side to side, as she advanced on the Celebi. It was almost instantaneous, invisible to the eye, till Rua stopped moving, and Celebi was flying through the air. Crashing on the ground, Celebi puffed out it's chest, puffed up it's cheeks, and quickly flew back up to the small Vulpix.

Celebi began glowing, as it closed it's eyes, a slight ringing sound could be heard. Blue-green waves floated off of Celebi's body. The burn on Celebi quickly faded.

Celebi used Heal Bell!
Celebi was cured of burn!

Alex curled her lip, she was not impressed but at least the Celebi hadn't used Recover again"Ok Rua Ember again" and again and again and again she repeated slowly in her head

Celebi was injured severely as Rua shot a critical hit of flames toward Celebi. Celebi dropped from the air, and landed on the ground, almost knocked out, though still able to take another few hits. Celebi's eyes began glowing, and it opened them as visible waves of energy blasted at you and Rua. Feeling, dizzy, you looked at Rua, who looked around, as if trying to find where Celebi was. Suddenly, Celebi began glowing red, in one particular area, it's arm. It had been burned. Celebi looked like it was barely awake.

Alex tilted her head trying to work out what would happen, the Celebi was burned so if they could just survive this turn it would faint because of it. She wondered if she could capture it but decided against it though beating the Elite four with a legendary was very tempting"Ok Rua lets use quick attack one more time" She crossed her fingers hoping he wasn't too confused

Rua darted side to side ever so quickly, it appeared that it might work, until Rua jumped over Celebi and ran right into a tree, injuring itself. It took no time at all before Celebi began glowing, and it's small injuries began healing. The burn stayed in place, but many scratches were healed.

Alex hissed in frustration"Come on Rua you can shake this off"She called to him then added"Quick attack again"

The same thing happened, ending in the same result, Rua slamming into a tree, while Celebi healed once more. At this rate, Celebi was going to be able to fully heal soon.

Alex sighed"Come back Rua lets try Kali again" She said thinking, or hoping he had snapped out his confusion by now

As Rua and Kali swapped places, Alex and Alina quickly ran up to you. "Once you win, we need to get to it, it'll no doubt time travel to escape, and if we can hitch a ride, then we should be able to get it to take us where we want."
